Private Practice Specializing in the Mental Health Treatment of Women
Thank you for visiting my page!
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts and have been working in the mental health field since 1998. I graduated with my B.S. in Developmental Psychology and Sociology/Women’s Studies from Suffolk University in 1998 and received my M.A. in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2003. My professional experience includes working in all types of settings including over five years’ experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist (sleep technician), fifteen years’ experience working in Day Treatment Programs and Intensive Care Facilities/group homes (for adults with broad ranges of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Prader Willi syndrome, PICA) and mental health outpatient clinics (treating Sociopathy, Psychopathy, Psychosis, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, Histrionic Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder, Munchausen’s by proxy, Pyromania, Folie à deux, Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, Paraphilias and other sexual offending disorders, Conduct Disorders, Self-Injury, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Dementia, Amnesia, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, Panic Disorder, Phobias, and more). While the populations I’ve served have varied, my current specialty, passion, and focus for the last seven years in private practice has been on supporting expecting and new mothers in the Perinatal and Postpartum period. I have specialty training in the diagnosis and treatment of PMAD’s (perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders).
Reach out to see if you can get the support you are looking for and if we will be a good fit together. Openings come and go quickly ~ things are always changing ~ I will reply faster via email to inquiries on whether I have openings. I keep my psychology today profile updated for openings, also. I look forward to hearing from you. I take the evenings and weekends to recharge and will return your calls and emails M-F during business hours.
Advanced Training in PMAD received from the Postpartum Stress Center, by Karen Kleiman, LCSW and from Postpartum Support International, from Birdie Gunyon-Meyer, RN, MA, CLC. Trauma Training in Perinatal Loss & Grief received in 2021 from The Seleni Institute in NYC.
